To the Box Office!
Parties and Ditch Your Date Night
After leaving the fabulous Patron bar, we headed up the street for the SundanceChannelHQ Happy Hour. Sure...I'll drink free Grey Goose after Patron on the rocks! This Happy Hour is also every day. The only lame thing is the munches were literally a tortilla chip with a dab of guac. Oh, and there's no bathroom in the place. Seriously.
MTV likes us.
"V/H/S"
The old-school video format should make for some old-school scares in
this horror collaboration from some of the genre's most notable
up-and-comers, including Ti West and Adam Wingard. The movie centers on a
group of burglars who are hired by a mysterious man to break into an
abandoned house to retrieve a VHS cassette. From there, things get a
little creepy.

ATL to SLC to Park City to BED!
No sleep last night. Today on the plane, sat next to chatty Cathy. Nice kid. Just returning from Afghanistan. I wanted to read this article. Let's just say he LOVES the Air Force and his job. Wants to be career military. Someone on the plane bought him lunch. Says it happens all the time. Random people hugging him too...although every once in awhile he gets dirty looks from people. Enjoyed the conversation, but really really wanted and needed to nap.

Hmmm...hot, but confusing?
"Anthology film "V/H/S" is perhaps the most buzzed-about entry, though buyers predict it will be a tricky sell despite stemming from the leading names in the next generation of horror, including Ti West ("The Innkeepers") and "You're Next" helmer Adam Wingard."
I guess they like us, but don't know what to do with us. Not sure why. I mean, it's a damn horror film with some of the hottest directors in the genre.

David Bruckner interview with BloodyDisgusting.com
Writer/Director David Bruckner made a name for himself with 2007's The Signal. Now, as one of the directors of V/H/S
- a film that breathes new life into the stagnant found footage genre -
he's able to explore his fascination with the sociological
repercussions of technological immersion in deeper, more horrific,
areas.
I spoke with Bruckner recently about his interest in media, V/H/S, his new short, and what's coming up next for him.
