No sleep last night. Today on the plane, sat next to chatty Cathy. Nice kid. Just returning from Afghanistan. I wanted to read this article. Let's just say he LOVES the Air Force and his job. Wants to be career military. Someone on the plane bought him lunch. Says it happens all the time. Random people hugging him too...although every once in awhile he gets dirty looks from people. Enjoyed the conversation, but really really wanted and needed to nap.

Hmmm...hot, but confusing?
"Anthology film "V/H/S" is perhaps the most buzzed-about entry, though buyers predict it will be a tricky sell despite stemming from the leading names in the next generation of horror, including Ti West ("The Innkeepers") and "You're Next" helmer Adam Wingard."
I guess they like us, but don't know what to do with us. Not sure why. I mean, it's a damn horror film with some of the hottest directors in the genre.

David Bruckner interview with BloodyDisgusting.com
Writer/Director David Bruckner made a name for himself with 2007's The Signal. Now, as one of the directors of V/H/S
- a film that breathes new life into the stagnant found footage genre -
he's able to explore his fascination with the sociological
repercussions of technological immersion in deeper, more horrific,
areas.
I spoke with Bruckner recently about his interest in media, V/H/S, his new short, and what's coming up next for him.

Moveline - Advance Buzz for V/H/S
"V/H/S" (Park City at Midnight) • "Found
footage horror, done anthology-style, by indie directors like Adam
Wingard, Ti West, and Joe Swanberg? Revolving around this generation’s
beloved bygone media of choice — the noble VHS tape — no less? I’m so
there."

"I like you"
A fond Sundance memory I have is being introduced to David Bruckner, one of the directors of the 2007 The Signal. We kept running into the trio at the festival and one of my friends would break out into West Side Story with them every single time. They became immediate friends of the site and it's beyond an honor to have Bruckner as one of V/H/S's
filmmakers. I have a feeling that after you guys see the movie, he's
going to get awfully sick of having people come up to him and saying "I like you" (a reference to the movie.)

They're saying such nice things.
V/H/S — When a group of guys are hired to
burglarize an abandoned house and acquire a rare VHS tape, they discover
a number of disturbing tapes. It’s the framework for a series of Paranormal Activity-like
found-footage shorts, written and directed by Adam Wingard, David
Bruckner, Ti West, Glenn McQuaid, Joe Swanberg, and the directing
quartet known as Radio Silence.
It's official. V/H/S is in.
Lily, renamed Amateur Night, was submitted and accepted to Sundance as part of the feature V/H/S.
